The Blessings of the LDS Temple – A Second Video Response to HBO’s “Big Love” Mormon Temple Episode

san_diego_lds_mormon_temple1
I hadn’t realized that the Mormon / LDS Church released a second, follow-up video showing images from inside Temples and presenting individual member testimonies of the importance of the Temple.  I may be biased, but HBO’s got nothing on this.  Attempted sensationalism and exposé fall far short of their intended result when one having authority comes right out and declares simply:

“No unclean thing may enter His hallowed house . . . yet . . . anyone is welcome who prepares well.” - Elder Russell M. Nelson, member of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

So much for the sensational allure of “those secretive Mormons.”

I guess the hardest part for us Latter-day Saints is that the temple is such a sacred place for us, and to watch them expose sacred things to the world is like watching a priceless jewel being thrown carelessly around.

They have a few pieces of what we do, but they don't have the big picture, nor the understanding and learning that must go with the temple teachings. It's almost like if I took a driver's manual and ripped out a few paragraphs and told a new driving student that they must learn to drive only using the information contained in the few pieces that I handed them. Without the entire book, they wouldn't learn much, and it wouldn't benefit them.

I suggest that if HBO wants to learn more about our temple, that they convert and prepare themselves to go. By the time they finish the transformation, they too will prefer to keep it sacred.

Time Warner's appalling attacks on the Mormon religion shows the religious fervor in the gay agenda. These secularists are anything but aetheists. They attack Mormons with lies because Mormons stand up for traditional values, it's as simple as that.
